My technical and interpersonal skill set have given me the ability to explain technical things to non-technical people. I've worked as an Assembly Language Programmer, Hardware and Software Installer, Documentation/Manual Writer and Customer Support Representative. I truly understand the intense frustration that the non-technical community has with developers who do not understand how to make things user friendly. Clear communication and effective feedback are very important to me!

I'm also familiar with leadership and have enjoyed interfacing with both Parents and Teachers as a PTO President, FinCom Chair, Volunteer Coordinator, etc. My counseling training as a Stephen Minister, my experience as a caregiver for my father (an Alzheimer's patient), my experience as a Foster Parent and acting Guardian ad Litem, as well as my other volunteer experiences working with and helping people have built my interpersonal skill set.

Now as a Web Designer, I enjoy understanding a client's needs and being able to meet those needs with my technical skill set. I enjoy designing web pages (graphically) in Photoshop & Fireworks and coding them in Dreamweaver CS3, Microsoft Expression Web, or straight HTML. I prefer using the "split" view when creating sites because of my programming background. CSS styles are now a strength of mine.

My detailed resume is also available for your perusal.
